Product description
Cannabidiol binds agonistically to the cannabinoid receptors CB1 and CB2, but it can also block their activity via an unexplained mechanism. It also acts as an antagonist to the G-protein coupled receptor GPR55, whose physiological role has not yet been clarified.
CBD Isolate has a pleiotropic effect, which means that effects as well as side effects can be triggered by different pathways. For this reason, the exact mechanism of action is not yet known. However, an effect on the voltage-controlled ion channel VDAC1 on the mitochondria is assumed. These channels play a role in calcium transport in the cells, which is important for the transmission of electrical signals in nerve cells. The immunosuppressive effect of cannabidiol is based on apoptosis of the T-lymphocytes of the immune system.
